Heroin is processed from morphine, a naturally occurring substance extracted from the seed pod of the Asian poppy plant.The short-term effects of heroin -After an injection of heroin, the user reports feeling a surge of euphoria ("rush") accompanied by a warm flushing of the skin, a dry mouth, and heavy extremities. Following this initial euphoria, the user goes "on the nod," an alternately wakeful and drowsy state. Mental functioning becomes clouded due to the depression of the central nervous system. Long-term effects of heroin Chronic users may develop collapsed veins, infection of the heart lining and valves, abscesses, cellulitis, and liver disease.

MDMA, called "Adam, Ecstasy," or "XTC" on the street, is a synthetic, psychoactive (mind-altering) drug with hallucinogenic and amphetamine-like properties. (SPEED/Methamphetamine) is an addictive stimulant drug that strongly activates certain systems in the brain. It is also known as "speed" or "crystal" when it is swallowed or sniffed; as "crank" when it is injected and as "ice" when it is smoked. Health problems -enhancing mood and body movement~cause reduced levels of dopamine, which can result in symptoms like those of Parkinson's disease & severe movement disorder.
